From October 24 to 26, 2025, 2025 the 17th International Conference on Signal Processing Systems (ICSPS) was successfully held in Chengdu, China. As a key international academic conference in the field of signal processing, this conference was co-sponsored by IEEE and University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, China, hosted by National Key Laboratory on Blind Signal Processing of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, China, assisted by Jiangsu University of Science and Technology, China; Southwest Jiaotong University, China and Biomedical Measurement Branch of Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering (CSBME), China.

The conference attracted nearly 400 participants, including experts, scholars, technical backbones, and young researchers from universities, research institutions, and enterprises in various countries and regions such as the United Kingdom, France, Finland, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, and China. Centering on cutting-edge topics including communication signal processing, image and video processing, signal processing in biomedical engineering, radar signal processing, intelligent information processing and its marine applications, the delegates conducted in-depth exchanges and ideological collisions through diverse forms such as keynote speeches, technical sessions, poster presentations, and online seminars.

Keynote Speakers

Prof. Frederic Dufaux (IEEE Fellow)
Université Paris-Saclay, France
Prof. Chong-Yung Chi (IEEE Life Fellow, AAIA & AIIA Fellows)
National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, China
Prof. Dacheng Tao (A Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science, IEEE Fellow, ACM Fellow)
Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
Prof. Alessandro Foi (IEEE Fellow)
Tampere University, Finland

Prof. Badong Chen
Xi 'an Jiaotong University, China

Spanning three days, in addition to the 5 keynote speeches, the conference featured 28 technical parallel sessions, 14 online sessions, and 5 poster presentations, with 45 invited speakers delivering invited reports. The content covered all frontier hot topics in signal processing, including 6G communication waveform design, massive MIMO detection, terahertz target recognition, underwater target localization, radar anti-jamming, and biomedical signal analysis, combining both theoretical depth and application value.

At the conference, five awards were selected and presented on-site: "Best Paper Award", "Best Student Paper Award", "Best Reviewer Award", "Young Scientist Award", and "Outstanding Contribution Award". These awards aim to comprehensively recognize individuals and teams that have made remarkable contributions to theoretical innovation, engineering practice, academic services, and young talent cultivation, encouraging them to courageously explore and take on responsibilities in their scientific research endeavors.

The successful convening of ICSPS 2025 showcased the latest research achievements and development trends in the field of signal processing, and strengthened information sharing and research collaboration among different research teams. The academic consensus and cooperation ideas formed at the conference are expected to provide new support and inspiration for subsequent research projects, achievement transformation, and international cooperation.
